Tree Planting at Malmsbury

27 August 2014 | General Interest

Some Year 3/4 children spent their day planting over 200 trees at a farm in Malmsbury. The trees will grow up and help give shade to the cows in the summer and stop the cold wind in the winter. The trees will also provide shelter for birds, possums and koalas. Grey kangaroos and emus also live in the area. We have all been told about carbon in the atmosphere and about global warming; planting trees is a wonderful way of reducing the carbon in the atmosphere and turning it into living timber.
